Community Service
Throughout my tenure as a volunteer, I have dedicated countless hours to various causes, both in official and unofficial capacities. The time and energy I have invested in this endeavor have instilled in me a profound sense of personal and social responsibility, which I regard as essential traits for effective community engagement.
Over the course of my volunteering journey, I have had the privilege of working on a diverse array of projects that have afforded me ample opportunities for growth and learning. These experiences have bolstered my understanding of the various challenges facing our society and equipped me with the tools and skills necessary to effect positive change.
You will find information regarding my volunteering experience below or by visiting my projects page.

Modern Youth
Modern Youth was an initiative that I started with a group of students from Kempsville High School to educate and aid parents, students, and teachers on the effects of exposure to technology at a young age. Our group created a website and partnered with local organizations to promote our message. In the end, we were able to successfully create a resource that taught educators and parents how to protect youth from the negative effects of screen time and social media.
Safety Safari Service Project (2022-2023)
Safety Safari is a service project created by students in the National Technical Honors Society from the Advanced Technology Center. The program is aimed to train 2-3rd graders on how to be safe while interacting with others online and browsing the web.
I served as the project manager for Safety Safari for a few months before being promoted to the President of our chapter (my current position). I oversee much of the progress for Safety Safari and provide updates for the various committees at our member meetings.
Safety Safari Parent Night
Safety Safari Parent Night is a new part of the program hosted at the Advanced Technology Center. This incredible opportunity allows parents to visit the ATC with their kids to learn about internet safety and managing the risks associated with exposure to technology. While the kids get to participate in the Safety Safari presentation, the parents will be able to ask questions and talk to speakers such as Verizon, CHKD, and FACE VBCPS.
